Mentorship

As a senior developer, I took on the responsibility of mentoring junior team members. My strong people skills and technical expertise enabled me to train them efficiently and prepare them for independent work. As a mentor, I acted as a partial leader, providing guidance, evaluating progress, and helping junior developers reach their full potential.

The mentoring experience allowed me to develop critical leadership and coaching abilities. I learned how to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, provide constructive feedback, and create individualized learning plans. This hands-on experience strengthened my ability to identify and nurture talent, which will be valuable as I progress in my career.

Through mentoring, I also gained a deeper understanding of the organization's technology stack and development processes. This cross-functional knowledge has expanded my perspective and allowed me to make more informed decisions and recommendations.

Custom Function

Integrated an internal scripting language called Zoho Deluge into the Zoho Flow, which was a key differentiator. Continuously refactored the feature over time to improve efficiency and user-friendliness as the customer base grew.

This custom function gave the Zoho Flow an advantage over competitors like Zapier, as it enabled users to extensively customize their automations and bridge functionality gaps. Implementing this complex feature also provided an opportunity to work directly with the core product code at an early stage.

Custom Connections and Refactoring

This was a complex concept in the product's integration capabilities. Working on the custom connection feature deepened my understanding of the core architecture and inner workings of the product.

Refactoring the existing connection-related code and implementing the custom connection functionality was challenging, as it required extensive domain knowledge. However, my experience allowed me to navigate these complexities and deliver a smooth implementation.

This feature provided users with greater flexibility and customization options, enhancing the product's overall value.

HTTP Task

This feature enabled users to leverage custom or unavailable APIs that were not provided by the product team. It acted as a versatile action that gave users more control and flexibility.

Implementing the HTTP Task required deep understanding of HTTP-related concepts. This challenge allowed me to enhance my knowledge and deliver a generalized feature for the product.

API Custom Fields

A plugin that provided an easy way for internal teams like Zoho CRM to map and leverage the Zoho flow. This framework enabled other teams to efficiently integrate and utilize the Zoho flow for their unique use cases, making the product more versatile and reusable.

By reducing the need to repeatedly code similar functionality, this custom field plugin saved resources and development time for the organization. It was widely adopted by many internal teams, demonstrating its value in enhancing product capabilities and streamlining cross-functional collaboration.

Zoho Flow API Endpoint

This was a pioneering initiative that exposed the integration platform's own API endpoints. At the time, it enabled creating flows and connections, which led to the development of the custom connection feature.
